The 2026-27 Editorial Staff and Editorial Board for the next academic year were finalized on May 30 after applications, interviews and careful consideration by the executive team.
The incoming Editor in Chief is Isabella Ehring ‘27. She will be joined by Managing Editors Grace Hefner ‘28 and Mariam Farag ‘27.
The financial team will be overseen by Chief of Financial Operations Adwik Chaturvedi ‘28, along with Financial Managers Kalia Botifoll, Kristina Tu, and Yejin Song ‘28.
Leading the backbone of the paper, the Copy team will be led by Co-Copy Chiefs Joshua Gonzales ‘28 and Geneses Navarro ‘28. Joining her will be Assistant Copy Editors Riley Schnittger ‘27, Zara Baker ‘28, Elizabeth Gregg ‘29, Charleen Pan ‘29 and Tracy Sandoval ‘27.
The News section, delivering the latest stories, will by led by News Editor Anika Denny ‘29. Joining her will be Assistant News Editors Konstantin Diatlov ‘28 and Brinda Popli ‘28.
The Features team will be headed by Features Editor Avery Rosas ‘28. He will be joined by Assistant Editors Ennes Kahf ‘27 and Aditya Biswas ‘29.
Sports coverage will be run by Sports Editor Benjamin Trouble Flores ‘27, along with Assistant Sports Editors Melissa Hernández ‘27 and Cayley Mazer ‘28.
The Opinion section, known for its hot takes, will feature Opinion Editor Ruby Goodwin ‘29 and Assistant Opinion Editor Julia Kremenetsky ‘27.
The Arts and Entertainment team, covering all forms of creativity, will be led by A&E Editor Corinna Chin ‘27 and Assistant A&E Editors Avani Kumar ‘27 and Travis Foley ‘29.
The Video section, adding an artistic touch to New University, will be overseen by Video Manager Sarah Murdaah ‘26 and Assistant Video Managers Ellen Elkins ‘29 and Isabella Sun ‘28.
Bringing writing into print, the Layout team will consist of Layout Chief Emilie Takahashi ‘27 and Assistant Layout Editors Angela Shen and Olivia Mae Johnson ‘29.
The Graphic Design team, providing us with New University’s artistic illustrations, will be led by Graphic Design Manager Angie Li ‘28 and Assistant Graphic Design Manager Ashley Colin ‘28.
The Social Media team, sharing New University’s stories across digital platforms, will be run by Social Media Manager Caroline Lu ‘27.
The Photo section will be led by head Photo Editor Mena Vo ‘28 alongside Assistant Photo Editor Allison Menendez ‘29.
The Editorial Board will consist of Ehring, Hefner, Farag, Gonzalez, Navarro and Chin.
