UCI fell to Utah State on Dec. 1 in one of their most anticipated preseason home games. Utah, second seed in the Mountain West Conference, was expected to make for good competition, having only lost one game. However, their defense and consistent shooting locked out UCI to a 63-87 defeat.

After eclipsing the Antelopes in the first round of the NCAA tournament, the ‘Eaters took on the defending NCAA champs Stanford, but lost 0-2 after giving up two goals late in the game.

The Anteaters faced the Cal State Northridge Matadors on Oct. 25, ending in a powerful 3-1 victory.

November 6th is a date that should be marked on everyone's calendars. As dutiful citizens take pride in exercising their civic duty in this upcoming midterm election, students across the country gear up to cheer on their schools for the next 5 months in what could be the most exciting period in sports.

To kick off their 2018-2019 season, the UCI Anteaters hosted the University of Idaho Vandals.

Despite playing away from home and conceding a goal early in the second-half, UC Irvine Men’s Soccer was able to claw their way back to their third consecutive win in the Big West Conference.

No. 12 UCI hosted Golden Coast Conference opponent the No. 6 Pacific Tigers, falling to the Tigers in the closing minutes despite the game’s back and forth nature. The ‘Eaters are now 5-7 on the season after taking their third consecutive loss.

Junior Aerospace Engineering student Matt McMurry competed in his first race of the European Le Mans Series season at the challenging 4 Hours of Spa on the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

UCI has a proud and illustrious career as a chronically underrated sports school. However, during the summer there is one team on campus that can’t be ignored.

Game one of the final road series for the Anteaters went off without a hitch, as the Anteaters defeated the UC Davis Aggies 5-3 Thursday afternoon in Dobbins Stadium.

Senior Persis William-Mensah concluded her historic run as an Anteater this past weekend at the NCAA West Preliminaries in Sacramento, California, where she competed in the 100m, 200m and 4x100 relay.
