I met my girlfriend in my dorm during my freshman year and we really hit it off. The next year we ended up being in the same apartment complex (we don’t live in the same apartment, just the complex) and have been living there for the past quarter.

Look at the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s… something out of the ordinary. The earthly skies become more surreal when UFOs fly into the blue yonder. UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) are definitely out of this world, but may be not out of this universe. These strange flying objects have inspired pop culture, especially films such as “District 9” and “Independence Day,” and have inspired people and governments into further exploration of the weird and bizarre.

When I was ten I moved from the cloudy skies of Canada to the sunny beaches of California. At first I was appalled by the snowless winters of Los Angeles, the people wearing thick jackets when it was only 12 degrees Celsius (54 degrees Fahrenheit), and the palm trees covered in Christmas lights, as if they were determined to hang onto the summer heat.

I’ve been dating my girlfriend for a year now, but in the past few months she’s been getting a lot of text messages and sometimes phone calls from her ex boyfriend. She says that they’re just good friends but I’m not so sure. I trust her, but it makes me incredibly uncomfortable that he’s contacting her so much and every time I bring it up she gets furious.
