"Bande à Part"; "Breathless".

"Narrow Stairs" is the sound of a band stretching out; the band does not necessarily depart from its classic sound, but rather furthers it by expanding its sonic palette.

For one precious hour, students and members of the Irvine community basked in the presence of a pop literature god. Stan "The Man" Lee worked with comic artists Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko to co-create what would become some of the biggest characters in comics—superheroes like Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Iron Man, Daredevil and the Hulk.

There is no smoking in the Bren Events Center. The ever-watchful security force made sure that nobody even lingered in the aisles between seats for more than a few seconds at Rockstar Energy Drink's "Get A Life Tour" last Thursday night. Who knows what they would do if they caught someone with a lit cigarette?

A talented group of 15 dancers and choreographers from the UC Irvine Department of Dance showcased this year's production of "Physical Graffiti."

Matmos is generally considered to be an electronic experimental band. The word "experimental" scares away even the most passionate music fans.

Concerts for philanthropic causes might be as common as students listening to iPods in today's era, but the second annual UCIndie: A Benefit Concert for Iraqi Children, organized by members of the Baghdad School Project in conjunction with the Social Science Dean's Ambassadors Council, made for a fun-filled night of upbeat music and camaraderie as part of a large effort to provide educational supplies to schoolchildren in Baghdad.

"Speed Racer" comes across as candy for the senses. The constantly dynamic visuals are a rainbow-sherbet, hyper, pop-art assault on the eyes that is stunning and, at times, almost overwhelming. Unfortunately, much like candy, the rush starts strong yet ultimately leaves the viewer unsatisfied.

Not only does "Iron Man" epitomize everything a superhero movie should be, but it has what summer blockbusters aspire to: a fun blend...

The sun is shining and the breeze is balmy—spring has definitely arrived. Some days, the heat is sweltering enough to drive a girl into the ubiquitous shorts and flip-flops uniform. What can you do to get out of a hot-weather fashion rut, especially on a college student's budget?
