The Center for Student Wellness and Health Promotion in coordination with the Peer Body Project, a national study originating at the Oregon Research Institute, conducted a workshop series centered around promoting body positivity for women on May 8.
The UCI Libraries and The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) entered a partnership which provides sponsored WSJ memberships for all students, faculty and staff at UCI as of late March. The partnership makes UC Irvine the first UC to have unlimited access to content from the Wall Street Journal. Anyone with a UCInetID now has access to wsj.com, the WSJ mobile app, as well as the WSJ plus platform — a membership loyalty program featuring special features.

The UCI Office of Inclusive Excellence (OIE) hosted “Moving Beyond Me Too” with Tarana Burke, leader of the Me Too movement, to a sold out audience at the Barclay Theatre on April 22. Burke’s presence was part of the “Perspectives on: Bias, Prejudice, and Bigotry” series, a component of OIE’s “Confronting Extremism” initiative.

Earth Week, April 22 to April 26, was kicked with a tabling event hosted by ASUCI on the Student Center Ring. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., multiple tables were set up to promote sustainability and encourage an awareness of each student’s environmental impact.
