Irvine Planeteer: It's almost that time of year: wildflower season. Last weekend I attended a pre-wildflower hike to see which species had begun to bud and flower. Wildflower season, beginning in March in Southern California, can be shockingly beautiful, depending on the amount of rainfall we receive in the winter and early spring.

Suburban Outfitter: Last May, UC Irvine's Fashion Interest Group held its inaugural fashion show featuring four student designers: Teresa Williams, Melanie Lee, Colleen Mohnkern and myself. This spring, we plan to debut our new collections at the Fashion Interest Group's next show.

The UC Irvine Track and Field Program is back in action with this past weekend's All-UC meet at Anteater Stadium. Five different Anteaters beat out the rest of the UC System and won their respective events, but Lauren Collins was the highlight of the weekend. She set a new school record in the high jump, by lifting herself over the 6-foot bar.
