Anti-LGBTQ+ Laws Hypocritically “Protect the Youth” by Criminalizing Trans People

Tennessee governor Bill Lee signed Senate Bill 3, which seeks to ban  “adult cabaret entertainment” — including drag performers — from performing in public spaces, on March 2. While the bill has been hailed by some for protecting children from obscenity, the bill actually only serves to further stigmatize and endanger youths belonging to the LGBTQ+ community.

Biden’s Student Loan Relief Plan is an Excellent Step Forward but Needs Improvement

The fight in ending the damaging effects of the student debt crisis was almost in sight after President Joe Biden and his administration went forward with their student debt relief plan. However, on Nov. 14, a federal appeals court blocked the plan after a coalition of six Republican-led states asked the court to stop any debt cancellation amid its litigation.
